Refugee 05:01
Morgen, Hoffnung (english version) ...everything collapses drunk with sleep while eyelids stick together I hear you shout: „Fire!“ Distance calling looking back upon your shoulders leaving all past behind. Troubled ruins we must pass troubled mountains beside the path and so we run... In the cold only tears bring warmth Places adrift hands shaking, bodies aching fear and only fear left. Escaping the night with morning's light, hopefully.

Langue ago 07:33
(english version) Events falling silent behind my back layer by layer eclipsed by the present. Your silence makes me deaf No sound of yours appears to my ears enigmatic spell upon your lips but signs falling into place. I wash away everything that happened to you layer by layer I wash away layer by layer sound.

Konflikt konvex, Kodex konkav. Status abwesend „Hast du was gesagt?“ Existenz „A doll essence“ All das erdrückt mich, zerreißt mich, widerspricht sich. (english version) In between – deviant living without light in tense atmosphere – resistent living without a voice in between. Dressed up with believes Conflict convex codex concave status away I heard you say. Existence „A doll essence“ All of this crushes me to death tears me apart inconsistantly. No hold I jump and fall in between.

(english version) Broken I speak the language of the broken: „Marginalized, marginalized“ Marked I draw bodies of the marked marked by scars, some rubbed out. Living in your picture invisibly. But cracks appear visibly. Invisible and visible.

Diskontinent 06:42
Diskontinent, uns verbindet, was uns trennt: bunt gesprenkelte Wand, weil deine Ordnung hemmt. Unbehagen gebannt in Farben, unentwegt Starren ins weiße Nichts. (english version) Discontinent connected to what disconnects: graffiti muddled wall because your rules suck. State of apprehension expressed in colours constantly staring into the glaring nothing you wish yourself left for posterity with concrete and watchmen white with order and watchmen cold with shots you bring me about you bring yourself about you bring me about The line is dead words lost in distorted sounds hope fades away in flickering lights at intervals ashes fall down trembling. Nothing lies beyond our hands.

Mosaikh 04:38
(english version) Flowers of ruin and in between layers of trouble but jigsaw falling into place. Collective for a moment common for a moment „Damn, did we leave some mark for posterity? Or is this happening all again...“ Nobody will remember us in rooms filled with smoke in times of ruins so bitter this melody appears...

Tener Duende 04:36
Am Tränenhafen einsam tanzen. Trachtende Ferne, verloren blinzeln. Träne läuft zu den Lippen. „Bitter schmeckst du.“ „Forget your past,“, they said, „nobody likes to listen to all of that.“ Lips bitten, so they bled Dissident tear stroking the wound. Dissident. (english version) Swinging lonely at tear's harbour longing distance, blinking eye in despair. A single tear runs down to the lips „bitter you taste, my dear“ „Forget your past“, they said, „nobody likes to listen to all of that“. Lips bitten, so they bled. Dissident tear stroking the wound. Dissident.

Sen 12:14
(english version) Half past three, still awake sleeplessly words wearing me out images wearing me out hours wearing me out half past three, still awake sleeplessly. Glaring darkness lantern adrift robes of stars. Firmament ruled by dragons moving towers, construction unknown. your face is changing in television's light. Your lips shaking as flowers blossom on fire spreading fragrance of ashes wilting my childhood's memory. Lucid places, fragile present Stars falling and everlasting gaze. Stars falling and lantern burns out. Everything collapses no longer may I hold your hand and so you fall...

about

"oneiroi"

Mosaikh (2015-2018) was a short lived, yet energetic reincarnation of the former acoustic collaboration Kosmoberkh (2011-2015). Like „Dim Nachttag“ most of the songs of „oneiroi“ were written on acoustic guitar. Living in the same city Thorge, David and Alex worked hard on translating the acoustic songs into the band's growing outfit. The ongoing rehearsal jams brought to life a new energy, which made its way to songs like „Sen“ and „Diskontinent“. Since violinist Paula moved to a more distant city it became more and more unclear if any violin parts could be accomplished to „oneiroi“. Visiting Oldenburg Paula teamed up for rehearsals for the first time and met up with David to work on some violin parts for „Sen“. Facing the distance and the difficulty to work on songs constantly Paula and the left members decided to part ways for good. Trusting the band's newly discovered energy and deciding to leave the acoustic guitar beside in favor of some more delicate and developed sounds the left members realised that Kosmoberkh was no longer a collaboration, but a band, which they started calling Mosaikh. In mid 2017 Alex transformed the Mosaikh rehearsal space into Holodeck Studio for the upcoming „oneiroi“-recordings. All 8 Songs were recorded live in a row of three days. Giving his blessings „oneiroi“ was mastered by Ian Shepherd, famously known for working with King Crimson or Tricky.

Bringing into mind in which time „oneiroi“ was written, it is no coincidence that the opening track is called „Refugee“. „oneiroi“ is to be understood as a fictional concept album. Its opening theme is the almost kafkaesque moment of waking up out of obscure dreams, while confronting oneself with the reality of having to leave one's home in face of war, misery or persecution. The following six „oneiroi“-tracks portray different perspectives on the consequences of finding one's place in a new and foreign country, struggling with rejection, assimilation, criminalization and self-doubts. The final song „Sen“ (polish for dream, sleep) adresses slipping into one's dreams and fighting traumatic experiences, which leads back to the beginning theme of the album. The album's vicious circle of lucid dreams and fragile reality is emphasized by the album title. In greek mythology the so called „oneiroi“ denote three demiurge gods of dreams whose figures appear to those who are privileged and rule countries. In this way the title „oneiroi“ is meant as a reminder to all those privileged ones who ignore the lives and realities of those affected by their actions.
